Keep coupons close at hand

Amy Rose Herrick, an investment adviser representative with Woodbury Financial Services Inc., offers the following consumer tip for surviving a shaky economy:

Keep an index card holder with a locking lid in the car by the driver. Place dividers in it for categories as they apply to your family activities:

• Restaurant coupons or gift certificates

• Office supply store coupons and mailers

• Specific store names for offers received in the mail

• Frequent shopper discount cards

• Free ice cream cone and pizza coupons children earn at school activities
